We bought this place in 1995 and I started setting up designs to rebuild the house to become my future art studio. The first task was to improve the back yard, so we set about making the garden. We planned to rebuild the house around 1998 or 99, so that gave us 3 to 4 years to get the back yard the way we wanted it. In 1998 we were watching tv in the living room, it was raining out, looked like a monsoon. As we sat there I noticed some water puddling on the floor beneath the front window. Low and behold, we had a leak, a major one, it took 10 or 12 towels to soak up the mess. After the rain I investigated and found the window was a replacement and the weep holes were plugged up. The sheetrock below the window was saturated, it just crumbled in my hands when I touched it. We decided to replace the window and while doing so I had to reface the entire front. In 2000 we started the construction we had been planning, and this is how it turned out.
