I began my life as a Wraith, and ended it as a Deity. A wraith is best described as an invisible entity, that feeds off the emotions of humans. There is usually one wraith for every human. They are a necessity. Without them a humans emotions would drive them mad. There are some incidents when a Wraith abandons a human, in which others see the abandoned human as insane. In some extraordinary cases, a wraith may take over the humans soul for dominance of the body. However the human must be near death, the human soul is too powerful for a Wraith to take control of. Once a wraith becomes one with the human they are usually unable to control some of the retaining emotions left behind from the humans soul. The most common one left behind is fear, since it is often the last emotion they feel. To gain control of the brain, they must continue to feed on the emotion they are in conflict with. Most cases they become ghosts, scaring people to feed on their fear to survive. For me, this was not the case. I was granted something else. A power to dominate this world.
